I was stoked to collaborate on this diptych with the incredibly talented italian ceramicist and illustrator @clara.holt.ceramics . If your eyes follow the horizon line that's drawn on the plates you can see the boy running out of the ocean through a flock of seagulls up the beach to the beautiful mermaid who is waiting for him on the sand. I love the way Clara has interpreted the beach and the sea gulls in her own unique expressive style that works together but also very separately to mine.
